中国科学院动物研究所动物进化与系统学院重点实验室鸟类适应与功能进化研究组副研究员。2003年和2006年于华南农业大学和兰州大学分别获理学学士和硕士学位。2010年于中国科学院动物研究所获理学博士学位。2013年12月至2014年12月在澳大利亚格里菲斯大学开展访问学者合作研究。主要研究方向为雀形目鸟类的分子进化与系统发育、谱系生物地理学。主要工作集中在欧亚广布和中国特有雀形目鸟类的种群遗传结构与演化历史，探讨影响欧亚广布鸟类谱系地理格局模式的地质历史因素。同时也关注于近期分布区快速扩张的种群遗传格局及历史动态特征。目前研究兴趣致力于野生鸟类的物种多样性与遗传多样性特征的内在联系，全球环境变化背景下的鸟类种群动态及其遗传特征演化，中国鸟类分布、性状特征与遗传资源的收集与数据库建设。
