简历介绍:

  魏辅文,男,博士,研究员,中国科学院院士,发展中国家科学院院士,保护生物学家。1964年4月生于重庆市云阳县。1984年和1987年在南充师范学院(现西华师范大学)分别获得学士和硕士学位,1997年获中国科学院动物研究所博士学位。主要从事大熊猫、小熊猫等濒危动物保护生物学研究。率先将种群基因组学、宏基因组学、比较基因组学等新技术引入到大熊猫研究中,阐明了大熊猫的种群历史、濒危过程及演化潜力;揭示了大熊猫在食性转换和特化历程中如何在形态、行为、生理、遗传和肠道微生物等方面产生适应性演化的规律;阐明了栖息地破碎化导致大熊猫孤立小种群崩溃的机制,推动了国家大熊猫放归和栖息地廊道建设工程的实施。首次提出“保护演化生物学”和“保护宏基因组学”新分支学科。重要代表性研究成果分别发表在Science, Nature, Nature Genetics, PNAS, Current Biology, Molecular Biology and Evolution, Trends in Microbiology, Trends in Genetics, Ecology, Molecular Ecology, Functional Ecology, Conservation Biology, Biological Conservation,Conservation Letters等期刊上,得到Nature、Science等著名杂志和Discovery频道、BBC、路透社等知名媒体广泛报道和评述。

研究领域:

  涉及保护生物学各分支学科的研究,包括保护演化生物学、保护生态学、保护行为学、保护生理学、保护遗传学与基因组学、保护宏基因组学和保护管理学等。
